Gwen Daly is an actor, director, producer and screenwriter with theatre and film industry experience. She co-founded production company Jo Public to produce and direct new plays for stage and screen.
Work includes ‘New Life, New Zealand’ 10 min documentary about UK migrants in New Zealand (2006); Actor, director, and producer for 18min short ‘Late Equaliser’. laurels from KIFF (Kiwi international films), Best Shorts (La Jolla CA,) TMC film awards (London) and Top of the South Short Film Festival – 2016. Best supporting actor at same festival; Director and producer for film shorts ‘Starfish’ (2017) and ‘Monster Sale’ (2017-18) Also awarded best support actor and best film Top of the South Short Film Festival Nelson. Theatre – Directed and produced 2 short stage plays ‘A Busy Man’ and ‘The Smart House’ for Jo Public Theatre Company Nelson 2018. Last year (2023) she directed ‘Love me Tinder’ for the Nelson Fringe.
